NETC HOSTS THE 1ST NOCC ALUMNI HOMECOMING '09


The NETC will be the host for the 1st Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) Alumni Homecoming. The said activity will be held in conjunction with the Graduation Ceremony of NOCC Class 13 and the Commissioning Ceremony of NOCC Classes 11 and 12. The target date would be at 27 May 2009. All members of the NOCC Classes 1 to 13 are invited to attend the Alumni Homecoming. For more details, please contact LTJG GEORGE A BESA PN, or any of your classmates, upperclassmen or underclassmen assigned here at NETC. Please don't forget to bring your money (for some personal contributions). The Alumni Shirt will be provided upon registration here at the NETC.

NETC WELCOMES THE NEW TRAINEES FOR BSC AND NOCC

New trainees have arrived in the NETC during the month of April 2009, both for the Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) and for the Basic Seaman Course (BSC).

The Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) Class 15 was convened last 20 April 2009. With a total strength of Forty-Nine (49) members, (11 of which are females), they were received by their immediate upperclassmen, the members of NOCC Class 14 in the afternoon, during the Convening and Reception Ceremony held at the NETC Grandstand. No one backed down during the traditional Reception Ceremony held in the parade grounds. After the ceremony, the new trainees were brought to the Terminal Building where they will be staying for the rest of the Military Phase of their training here at the NETC.

Two (2) BSC Classes were also convened last 27 April 2009, the BSC Class 222 composed of 65 members (13 females) and BSC Class 223 composed of 65 members (18 females). Both classes were convened and received by their TACPO's in the afternoon during the Convening and Reception Ceremony also held at the NETC Grandstand. After the ceremony, the trainees from both classes were taken to the NETC Boot Camp where they will be staying for the rest of the Military Phase of their training here at the NETC.

For both classes, the NOCC Class 15 and BSC Classes 222 and 223, welcome to the Philippine Navy.
